Matt Young
With over thirty years experience, I have led design efforts in every medium and my accumulated experience incorporates a wide range of projects. Although claiming purposely not to have developed a definitive design esthetic, my identities and collateral deliver corporate messages with visual elegance and inventiveness. My economy with words and witty approach display a clear graphic sensibility.
I am co-author of Conversation, a book addressing the tenuous relationship between designer and printer. The book spawned a ten city speaking tour sponsored by the AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts).
My work has been published in Communication Arts, Graphis, Print, How and Step-by-Step magazines and I have contributed articles to Graphic Design:USA. The recipient of numerous awards, my work has been included in international design exhibitions and can be found in the permanent collection of the the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
I am also a furniture designer with over a dozen pieces to-date.
